  • 1 (5 oz) can high-quality tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup full-fat mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp softened butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread the tuna mixture onto two slices of bread and top with cheddar cheese. Close with the remaining slices.
  3. Butter the outside of each sandwich evenly.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side) while pressing down gently to melt the cheese.
  5. Remove from heat, slice diagonally, and serve warm.
