Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by slicing the steak and chopping the broccoli.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Marinate the steak for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add marinated steak and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from pan.
  5. In the same pan, add more oil if needed and stir-fry broccoli for about 5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  6. Return the beef to the pan along with any leftover marinade. Stir-fry until the beef is cooked through and broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. Serve immediately over rice or noodles if desired.
