  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Chop broccoli into bite-sized pieces and mince garlic and ginger.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Add steak strips to marinate.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated steak and sear until browned (3-4 minutes).
  4. Add broccoli with a splash of water to steam briefly (2-3 minutes) until bright green.
  5. Combine remaining marinade ingredients with additional soy sauce and sesame oil; pour over the beef and broccoli while stirring until thickened.
