  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the additional sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough, roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
