  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

  2. Form the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil until shimmering but not smoking. Carefully place patties in the skillet.
  4. Fry each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Flip gently to avoid breaking.
  5. Remove cooked patties from the skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil before serving.
