  • 1 box (15.25 oz) red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. In another bowl, blend the cream cheese until smooth; add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until creamy.
  5. Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie base and swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Top with remaining brownie batter and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  7. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
