  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Generously season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil and sauté the onions until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and stir for another minute.
  4. Place seasoned chicken into the skillet and pour BBQ sauce and chicken broth over it.
  5. Cover the skillet, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 45 minutes until chicken is tender enough to shred easily.
  6. Remove chicken from skillet, shred using forks, then return it to the sauce before serving.
