  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (cut into sticks)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella into thick sticks (3-4 inches long).
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning.
  3. Roll each mozzarella stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs. Repeat until all sticks are breaded.
  4. Freeze the breaded sticks on a baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry sticks in batches until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
