  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in allspice, thyme, nutmeg, salt, and pepper; simmer for five minutes.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into six-inch circles.
  5. Place about two tablespoons of filling on one half of each circle; fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
