Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  3. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in eggs and vanilla extract until frothy.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. If desired, gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean with moist crumbs.
