  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  3. Combine the frothy yeast mixture with dry ingredients. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat with minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add melted garlic butter and parsley to the dough; knead briefly to combine flavors.
  6. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  7. Shape into rolls and place in a greased baking dish. Brush tops with remaining melted butter.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
