This dish is perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends, transporting you to an Italian bistro with every bite. With just a handful of simple ingredients, you can create a gourmet meal that impresses everyone at your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping garlic and measuring out wine and cream.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. Lower heat slightly; add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Deglaze with white wine, scraping the bottom of the pan to incorporate browned bits.
  4. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a simmer; reduce for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Add heavy cream and mix well.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, spooning sauce over it; simmer together for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Finish with fresh thyme before serving; plate with extra sauce drizzled on top.
