  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups salsa (mild or spicy)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water; cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Layer half the tortilla chips in a deep baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture, black beans, salsa, and cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with green onions; serve warm with dollops of sour cream.
