  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook ziti until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and let simmer.
  5. Mix ricotta cheese with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the meat sauce, half of the ziti, dollops of ricotta mixture, and half of both mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
