Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and cook until golden brown on both sides (about 6-8 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking the chicken until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream while scraping up browned bits from the skillet. Let simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth; adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Add cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
