Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fresh tuna steaks (6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the tuna steaks with paper towels for better searing. Drizzle both sides with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling hot.
  4. Sear the marinated tuna steaks for 1-2 minutes per side, aiming for a golden crust while keeping the center pink.
  5. Remove from pan and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thick pieces.
