  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts (toasted)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing the basil and peeling the garlic.
  2. Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a food processor, combine basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, garlic cloves, and Parmesan cheese. Pulse until coarsely blended.
